1. Your warranty is only valid if the turbocharger is fitted in line with these instructions. Forge Turbo reserves the right to reject a warranty claim if the turbocharger is destroyed by over speeding / boosting, starved of oil, lubricated with contaminated oil, foreign object damage, incorrect oil pressure, foreign objects from the motor on the turbine side or excessive heat at any time. Strictly no exceptions will be made for failure caused by any of the above.
No fuel is allowed to pass through the Turbocharger bearing housing. Any performance modification on the vehicle (ECU Chipping, downpipe, Engine internals, turbocharger modifications, intercooler upgrades) will void the warranty with immediate effect.
Not using an accredited / approved installer will VOID the warranty with immediate effect.
Any claim performed must be accompanied by the accredited installer's invoicing and paperwork stipulating all precautions taken prior to fitment of the turbocharger. No exceptions will be made. Failing to provide these documents will void the claim and warranty.

Failure to comply with any of the above will void the warranty with immediate effect.

  1. Ensure that any fault that caused the previous turbocharger to fail has been rectified.
  2. To prevent contamination of the replacement turbo, the oil feed pipe MUST be replaced, irrespective of condition.
  3. Renew the oil filter and engine oil. (In most cases may require flushing the system more than once).
  4. Inspect the turbocharger oil drain pipe for kinks or carbon blockage. If in doubt, replace the pipe.
  5. Remove all crankcase breather hoses and filters. Clean or renew the filters & hoses in line with the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
  6. Immobilize engine. Using a clean container to catch the oil, crank the engine over until at least ½ pint (300 ml) of oil is pumped out of the turbo oil feed pipe. This ensures any dirt or carbon particles are flushed out, which otherwise may damage the turbocharger's bearings.

  1. Ensure cleanliness whilst fitting this turbo. Do NOT remove the oil feed blanking plug until ready. Do not use exhaust sealing paste.
  2. Connect the oil feed pipe (after completing item 6 above). Do not allow dirt to enter the turbocharger bearing housing.
  3. Before fitting the oil drain pipe, ensure that the blanking plug is removed (where fitted) and crank engine until engine oil flows out of the turbocharger bearing housing.
  4. Re-fit the oil drain pipe.
  5. Check all connections are tight, but do not over-tighten.
  6. Start engine and check for leaks.
  7. Using a boost gauge, check the boost pressure is within the manufacturer's specified limits.

As each unit is assembled, every individual part is thoroughly checked for defect or suspected fatigue. All turbochargers and turbocharger cartridge assemblies supplied by Forge Turbo are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials and fit for purpose.

On receipt of any returned turbocharger units, turbo engineers will dismantle and inspect the turbocharger and determine the cause of failure. We will then notify the customer the results of the fault diagnosis. If it is deemed that the turbocharger has not been fitted correctly or some modification has been carried out by the customer or the turbocharger has been dismantled by a third party the turbo will not be covered under the warranty.

We offer a 365 days ( New Turbocharger ) parts only warranty which does not cover any labour costs incurred by the customer for fitting or removal. No damages for distress, loss of earnings or costs incurred for independent advice are covered by the warranty.

Warranty does not cover any turbocharger supplied if it is modified in any way or fitted to any other vehicle than that which it was supplied for. Any alteration to the vehicles ECU system, chipping or re-mapping will void the warranty.
